Quick Friday update for you — and I mean quick, because I’m writing this on my phone while I pack up my snowboarding bag: A nice snowstorm is rolling through the Rockies to top off the ski areas that still haven’t closed.
Loveland Ski Area — an excellent spot situated atop I70’s Eisenhower Tunnel — was kind enough to share the above video.
It’s hard to tell from the snow stake, but it looks like they got at least a foot.
This latest round puts Loveland over the 300” mark for the 24/25 season. And there’s still a good amount of season left to go. Loveland Ski Area is scheduled to stay open through Sunday, May 11, 2025.
At time of publication, the snow is still coming down. Highway conditions along the mountain corridor have been difficult with CDOT reporting multiple closures, spin outs, and traffic trouble along I70.
For those of you in Denver: drive safe. For everyone else, I hope you enjoy the view!
